Meet the Owner
Howdy, folks — I’m Annie, the owner of Cowboys & Angels Boutique.
My daughter, Emily, and I opened Cowboys & Angels in 2013 on Main Street in downtown Sykesville, Maryland. While our doors officially opened then, the heart and soul of Cowboys & Angels were shaped many years earlier — under wide desert skies in Las Vegas, Nevada. When I first moved west, I was drawn in by the open land, endless horizons, and a way of life rooted in grit, independence, and authenticity. The West wasn’t just a place — it was a feeling. The smell of leather, the sound of boots on a wooden floor, and the pride found in well-made craftsmanship left a lasting mark on me.
After my time in Las Vegas, that pull west led me to Montana for a while, which only deepened my love for the western way of life. Though life eventually brought me back east, my heart never truly left the West. That love stayed with me and grew into a dream: to share the warmth, character, and timeless style of the western lifestyle with others, no matter where they call home. That dream became Cowboys & Angels.
At the core of our boutique are the values that have always guided me — a deep love for family, faith, country, and the land we are entrusted to care for. Those beliefs shape not only the pieces we carry, but the way we treat every customer who walks through our doors.
Quality and personal service are our top priorities at Cowboys & Angels. From the moment you step inside — and catch that unmistakable scent of quality leather — we want you to feel welcomed and at home. We spend countless hours carefully researching and selecting boots, bags, clothing, and accessories that reflect true western craftsmanship, all while keeping quality and affordability in mind.
We proudly carry well-known brands such as Corral, Laredo, Stetson, Dan Post, Tony Lama, Tasha Polizzi, Scully, Rock & Roll Denim, Hooey, American Darling, Montana West, and more.
Family continues to be a central part of our story. Since we first opened Cowboys & Angels, my daughter Emily and her husband have made their home in St. Regis, Montana, where big skies meet winding rivers and the mountains frame everyday life. It’s there that they opened Roaming Bird Ranch. Surrounded by open land, changing seasons, and the quiet strength of Montana, Emily pours that landscape into her work. She is an incredibly talented artist who designs custom hats and jewelry inspired by the West — each piece shaped by hand, intention, and the stories carried in the land itself.
I’m truly grateful to carry Emily’s beautiful, one-of-a-kind creations here at Cowboys & Angels, allowing a piece of Montana’s spirit to live in the boutique. If you’d like to see more of her work or connect with her directly, I invite you to look up Roaming Bird Ranch and experience her artistry for yourself.
We invite you to take your time and explore Cowboys & Angels Boutique. Whether you’re shopping in person or online, please know that we’re always happy to help.
